Ya, so do I. I know that they now have "Fedora Core" and I'm sure it's really really good, but I wanted to get my hands on a free copy of Red Hat enterprise 4. Well, a little searching turned up CentOS.

Yep, the same CentOS that godaddy uses on their accounds is a free "binary compatible" version of Red Hat enterprise. I immediately pulled it down, stuffed it into a VMWare virtual machine (running on Ubuntu) and gave it a test drive. Pretty cool stuff.

So, if you need Red Hat Enterprise, but don't need the support contract, give CentOS a try. Just google centos...it'll be the first one that comes up.
